Vendor Spotlight – Designs by Alexis Rose

April showers bring May flowers … or in this case we bring you Designs by Alexis Rose!

Although I have never physically met Alexis (thanks covid…) I have seen several of her floral designs at weddings we have both worked at. I can honestly say I was blown away by the beauty of her creations. When we eventually connected over social media, we found we had a lot in common including both being work at home moms! We can’t wait for the chance to join each other for a glass of wine and great conversation about motherhood, the wedding industry and being working women.

Alexis Rose has been working in the floral industry for 8 years creating works of art for weddings, proms, funerals and more. She grew up helping her grandmother in her garden and spent her teenage years studying floral design in her parent’s brick and mortar shop in southern Ontario. She began taking basic courses from 2016 and on but found that the hands-on experience was extremely rewarding while working in the daily sales environment.

When it comes to large scale installations, Alexis Rose loves every minute of creating those eye-catching one-of-a-kind pieces. Weddings are some of the most fun design experiences she has had in the floral industry. She not only prides herself with making sure her couples have nothing to worry about when it comes to florals on their big day and being available to her couples for any questions or concerns, down to the last second, but Alexis Rose loves making an already beautiful day that much more gorgeous with touches of florals. Flowers truly do make everything better!

Did you know Alexis Rose has a large focus on sourcing locally grown and Canadian grown blooms in her pieces?! She is all for supporting local as much as she can, and she loves to be able to showcase those florals in her work! Alexis Rose truly works to ensure that every piece she makes is special and unique, while still working with the ever-changing trends seen in the industry.

Alexis Rose hopes to one day have a brick and mortar location to be able to have daily interactions with clients. But she does not complain! She is thankful to have a space where she gets to create. She really looks forward to the chance to meet each and every person with whom she will make something beautiful for, and it is because of all her wonderful clients that she not only gets to have the best job in the world, but she gets to play with flowers at the same time.

Although Alexis Rose has only lived in Manitoba since August 2020, she has sure made an impression with her beautiful designs!
