Canada’s 155th birthday is coming up soon! Get ready to bring out your flags and celebrate being a Canadian. From Coast to Coast, our amazing country has so much to offer. With breathtaking mountain ranges, maple syrup, endless fields of golden wheat, and the best hockey players in the world, we have a lot to celebrate here in Canada.
In honour of Canada Day, I’m sharing some fun facts about our home and native land. Not only is Canada the second-largest country in the world, but it is also home to more lakes and rivers than any other country in the world. Canada has a lot more to offer than beautiful landscapes, many amazing inventions like ketchup chips, poutine, basketball, Superman, IMAX, and countless others can be attributed to Canadian inventors. Canada is also home to some serious star power. Celebrities like Ryan Reynolds, Pamela Anderson, Jim Carrey, Michael J. Fox, Matthew Perry, Rachel McAdams, Howie Mandel and so many more call this country their home.
Everybody knows that Canadians love Ice Hockey, but did you know that Canada is currently earning over 2.6 billion dollars each season from the hockey industry! However, Canada’s love for sports doesn’t just end at hockey, Curling and Lacrosse are also highly popular in Canada, with some of the best players in the world competing across the nation.
Here in Manitoba, there are so many ways to celebrate our national holiday. Whether you are watching fireworks at one of the many amazing locations across the province, camping with your family, or attending a party, you can always add some amazing music to your celebrations!
The music industry would not be the same without contributions from many Canadian artists. For many decades, numerous Canadian artists have left their mark on the industry with some amazing albums and hit songs! Some of the most popular artists include Justin Bieber, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Paul Anka, Shania Twain, and many more.
